The Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Andy Roddick, world #3
player, signature racquet. Roddick has been playing with the
Babolat Pure Drive since he turned pro and the Roddick version is
stiffer and heavier than the standard Pure Drive. Roddick really
does play with the Plus version of this racquet.
The Roddick is noticeably heavier swinging and has less power than the
standard Pure Drive. It is intended for 4.0 to 5.5 players that
want a spin friendly racquet.
The GT Technology (Graphite and Tungsten) adds even more control
and stability to the frame.
The new Cortex System filters out those vibrations that interfere with feel, thus enhancing the
feel for the ball. See Babolat
Technology.
The Pure Drive Roddick comes in two different models, the Standard
and the
one-half inch longer Plus. We find
that both racquets have the same feel and are very similar.
The Plus has a little more reach and is slightly less maneuverable.
